Thursday October 28, at 8 p.m.”What Does It Mean to Claim that Sex, Gender and the Body are Socially Constructed?” (Levis Faculty Center, 3rd Floor).

Friday October 29, at 1 p.m. “Hedda’s Silences: Skepticism and Modernity in Hedda Gabler“, Lucy Ellis Lounge, Foreign Languages Building. A reception will follow.

AASSC, Montreal

Toril Moi will give the keynote address at the Association for the Advancement of Scandinavian Studies in Canada’s annual meeting in Montreal, Canada, May 28 – 31, 2010. The title of her lecture at the AASSC Conference will be “‘Something That Might Resemble a Kind of Love’: Fantasy and Realism in Henrik Ibsen’s Little Eyolf.” The lecture will take place on Saturday May 29, at 11 a.m. in EV 1-605 (The Engineering, Computer Science and Visual Arts Complex), Concordia University, 1515 St. Catherine Ouest.
